Silane RS-171 is a organofunctional silane, it offers vinyl and silane functionality, it’s colorless transparent liquid.
Applications
Silane coupling agent RS-171 can be used in variety of applications, including:
- Mainly used to modify polyethylene and other polymers by grafting its vinyl group to the polymer backbone using a radical initiator, such as peroxide.
- It can be incorporated into silylated polyurethane, urethane or other silane modified polymer based sealants and adhesives to extend the systems shelf life.
- It is used to promote adhesion between unsaturated, polyester-type resins or crosslinked polyethylene resins or elastomers and inorganic substrates, including silica, silicates, fiberglass and many metal oxides
